Jason Derek Brown is currently wanted by the FBI for Unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, First degree murder, and Armed robbery. According to FOXNews.com, a pair of armored car agents were working their delivery and pickup rounds after the Thanksgiving weekend 2004 in the Phoenix, Arizona area. While on one of their stops, Keith Palomares, 24, left the armored car and his partner stayed with the vehicle. On his return to the vehicle he was approached by a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
The man in the sweatshirt fired a .45 caliber handgun at Palomares’ head. Of the six bullets that left the gun, five of them hit the target and killed Palomares. The gunman then grabbed a bag containing $56,000 cash. According to one FBI agent, “It was an assassination.” But Brown’s daring and callous actions don’t stop with murder and robbery.
After fleeing in his BMW (pictured to the right), Brown deposited $2,000 of the money into bank account in Henderson, Nevada. After depositing the cash, Brown traveled to Las Vegas and dropped his BMW in favor of a Cadillac Escalade that was in storage. From Vegas, Brown would travel to Orange County, California staying with family and friends until December 6, 2004. On the 6th, FBI agents came carrying a warrant for his arrest, but missed him by an hour.
Agents later recovered his Cadillac at the Portland International Airport in long-term storage. However, Brown has not been seen since being with his family in California.
