Sunday Comics - Craig Ferguson
March 9, 2008

Today’s Comedian is one of the newest citizens of the United States of America, Craig Ferguson.
Craig was born on May 17, 1962 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was a drummer in a little known band called "The Bastards from Hell" and later renamed "Dreamboys." They performed in Glasgow from 1980-1982. Mr. Ferguson came to Los Angeles in 1994 and snagged his first role as a baker named Logan McDonough on the short-lived 1995 ABC comedy show "Maybe This Time". He starred alongside Betty White, and Marie Osmond.
His breakthrough performance was when he was cast as Drew Carey’s boss, Nigel Wick, on the Drew Carey Show from 1996-2003. Craig always thought it was funny how people always over acted when doing a Scottish accent, so he took matters into his own hands when a Scotsman got the opportunity to over act a British accent.
Life wasn’t always great for Craig. He had personal battles he was fighting and since 1992, he has been sober. He was talking on his show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS at 12:30am EST, that one Christmas he was going to commit suicide. Luckily, he got drunk and forgot. After this incident, he admitted he needed help and he has been sober since. I think he is to be commended for that.
TV’s Craig Ferguson wears many hats. He is a writer, actor, producer, director, comedian, an author, and most importantly, a father. Craig just recently took the citizenship test and we are happy to announce he passed with flying colors. He made a few jokes, but none were held against him.
If you are looking for any movies or television starring Craig Ferguson, may I suggest Saving Grace, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events
, obviously the Drew Carey Show, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. If you have time and a great sense of humor, may I suggest his book "Between the Bridge and the River
."
